At Back of the Class, we have a rigorous system in place to ensure that only the best ideas and execution reach you, our wonderful audience.
To that end, I recently gave Dan some notes on a sketch he was editing. This was his response.

I know everyone has been waiting and it’s finally here: episode 3 of “Memorable Quotes from Shitty Movies”. In this fabulous episode, Max shares memorable quotes from the classic 1996 Shaq film “Kazaam” in which Shaq plays himself. Enjoy:

Brett sent Max, Jesse, and me an email informing us he got hired to do some work for someone or something, I don’t know what, because who cares? The following email chain occurred.
*IMPORTANT INFORMATION — Jesse and I played tennis last October. It’s the only time we’ve ever played tennis and it could be the only time we ever do. He had been playing more frequently and was feeling on top of his game. I hadn’t played in several years, and even on those occasions, years would pass in between. I defeated him 6-2, 6-2. He was upset, and continues to be.
EMAILS:
BRETT: I got some work and boring boring boring scheduling difficult boring [author's interpretation].
DAN: Congratulations! That sounds great. We should have alcoholic beers to celebrate. [One time Jesse gave Brett a non-alcoholic beer and he drank the whole thing without knowing it and we all laughed very hard.]
JESSE: Awesome! That sounds really cool. Sucks that you’ll be working full time, but it’s a good kind of suck. (Like the kind that Dan does when we play tennis.)
DAN: I don’t understand the tennis comment. I suck at it (the one time we played) because I kicked your ass?
JESSE: It’s called trash talk. Maybe if you were better at tennis, you’d understand that.
DAN: I guess I’ve never really had to resort to that, since I always win. In straight sets. Not having played in years.
JESSE: Dude, your record in our lifetime series is two wins and thirteen losses. That’s horrible. (Yes, that includes games we haven’t played yet. But I’m sure it’s still accurate.)
DAN: This is frustrating nonsense. I crushed you with very minimal effort and no practice. Don’t get so upset. I’m just better than you at tennis. Congratulations again, Brett!
JESSE: I’m disappointed that you can tell how upset I am. I was trying to hide it behind a wall of bluster and bravado. Yeah Brett, congratulations!
MAX: Congrats brett! And also Dan.
It’s important that I maintain some semblance of moral high ground by posting this on the blog. I’d be remiss not to make our fans aware of who the better tennis player is, as well as how seriously I take any discussions of that subject.

“Nov. 15, 1989 Today we are going to the play I hop it is good”
Fortunately, I must’ve made it to the play before the walking L stabbed my neck.

“Nov. 14, 1989 Today I waz bod the r waz nathing to bo.”
I guess I was one of those sad, bald, no legged children who spent the days staring off into space with only a lone orange block to keep me company.
