Director's commentary
Brett: Prescott had this half-finished "Who's On First?"
homage. When he showed it to me I liked it so much I went home and
wrote the second half of it. Prescott ended up using in the sketch
comedy group back at Tufts. He then filmed his own version and
put it on YouTube.
I filmed my own version with Max because Prescott
was across the country in Boston at the time.
Max: I was also much better looking than
Prescott. Mostly because of my haircut and large visible zit
on my forehead. At first I was hesitant to be in the sketch, mostly
because I can't stand to be around Brett. But the quality of the
writing turned me around. And they got me a little drunk.
Dan: I barely remember shooting this now. I think mostly I
just sat in a chair behind the camera. When it came time to move the
camera for another setup, I probably just sat there, sweating, and
motioned for someone else to do it. The success of this sketch is
clearly due to my involvement.
Prescott: I remember
thinking up the first eight lines of this sketch as I walked to
class in Anderson [The engineering building at Tufts]. Brett and I
first performed it at UCB's open sketch night, where I completely
butchered the ending. Then the sketch moved on to Boston where Dan
[Clionsky] and I performed it quite successfully and Jenn [Rosen]
and I did a decent attempt a week later. The sketch was a big
success throughout my senior year, where we performed it numerous
times for different audiences. I'm glad to see it has made its
mussy-haired return to Cali and the Internet.
